New Cathedral of Cuenca
The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, commonly referred to as the New Cathedral of Cuenca, is the cathedral church in Cuenca, Ecuador. It is situated in front of Parque Calderon.
It is regarded as a symbol of religious architecture in the city and one of the greatest works of Latin American level. The start of construction data 1882, stands inside the gold leaf and colorful stained glass windows, the marble used was brought from the Italian city of Carrara, a worthy representative of the people’s faith and heritage Cuenca of Ecuador. It is Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance
